The Denver Writing Project is a professional development organization for teachers from all grade levels and subject areas. We are a local site of the National Writing Project.
In addition to teacher professional development, we provide high-quality youth writing workshops during the summer months to help promote self-sponsored literacy education for children in grades 2-12.
The Invitational Summer Institute is the central program for teachers. The SI initiates teachers into the culture of the National Writing Project and offers them opportunities to become teacher leaders within the DWP network. Hear about the ISI experience from Denver Writing Project teachers in the video below.
We will be tweeting during the 2017 Summer Institute using #dwpsummer17.
Our 2016 Summer Institute tweeted at #DWPSI16.
